Clemie Nathan Sexton “PaPaw”, 74, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born in Rome, Georgia, on March 16, 1951, to the late Clemie Nelson Sexton and Susie Clara Maddox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Sexton, and his sister, Joye Cason; honorary child, Jamie Sikes.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Loraine Sexton; daughters, Susie Sexton, Dana Sexton (Wade Thomas); sister, Darlene Bizier; grandchildren, Nathan Sexton, Breanna Clark, Jessica Sexton, Carl Clark, Aaron Thomas; great-grandchildren, Genevieve Frye, Claira Clark, Edith Clark, London Clark, CJ Clark, Alexis Clark, Ava Thomas, Maggie Thomas, and Arlo Garvey; honorary children, Oleta Hollis, Laura Garcia, Christy Sikes, Keith Sikes, Chris Kimsey, and DeeAnn Kimsey; honorary grandchildren, Matt Helton, Ashley Helton, Lilly Williams, Kevin Sexton, Charity, Chelsie Coats, Katelyn Sikes, Laney Sexton, Christopher Sexton, Alexander Sexton, Zach Taylor, Tyler Howell, Christian Turcios, Michael Gayton, and Aaron Kimsey.
Clemie worked as a supervisor at American Weavers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Matt Helton, David Cochran, Breanna Clark, Nathan Sexton, Carl Clark, and Wade Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are AJ McCarter and Chris Kimsey.
