Cherril Ann Gillette

Cherril Ann Gillette, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. She was born in Traverse City, Michigan, on January 24, 1945, to the late Clarence and Esther Kirkpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gillette.

Cherril is survived by her sons, Clinton Gillette, Matthew Gillette, and Billy Gillette II; daughters, Kim Svinth, Kelly Gillette, and Paula Newlon; brother, Glen (Ellen) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Daniel Gillette and his sister Olivia , Joanna Ingram, Evie Foskey; Jamie Giger, Justin Giger, Jared Svinth, and Veronika Martinez and great-grandchildren, Colson Foskey, Marcus Martinez, Barret Giger, Codie Giger, Dylan Giger Vivian Giger and Corbin Giger.

Cherril was a nurse at Gordon Hospital for over 20 years as well as actively volunteering at Healing Hands and The Voluntary Action Center for many years. Cherril was a very active part of her community and loved to help others.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Church.

A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM from the church with Rev. Greg Burgner officiating.
