Charlotte Patricia (Burns) Baker

Charlotte Patricia (Burns) Baker, 89, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1936, to the late Weldon and Floyce Jane Burns. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2012, Charles J. Baker.

Charlotte was a member of Calhoun Community Church.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Sandy B. Long (Jeffrey) and Sherry B. Sloan (Jason); grandchildren, Katey LaCroix (David), Luke Sloan (Elizabeth), Emily Sloan; and great-grandson, Charles “Emile” LaCroix.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM from Calhoun Community Church with Rev. Tim Langston and Rev. Jerry Rice officiating. Her body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM. Burial will be held in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tim Allen, Gerald White, Travis Holsomback, Kevin Holsomback, Barry Nicholson, and Flipper McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip McDaniel, Charlie Allen, Jerry Holsomback, Ralph Muse, and Jack McGaskey.
