Obituary


Charles Wesley Bailey, 57 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was born on September 17, 1964. He is preceded in death by his mother Johnnie Mae Childers Bailey.
Charles had a beautiful relationship with nature. He was an avid camper, kayaker, and fisher. He chased beautiful sunsets and early morning sunrises with his beloved and beautiful wife Pj by his side. He was a wonderful husband. He cherished his wife in a way only he knows.
If there was anything he loved more than the outdoors it was his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Charles was the proudest Dad. He took the role as seriously as he could. He loved his children with a fierceness that has no match. He would do anything for his children and grandchildren.
He was the PawPaw of a lifetime. He taught his grandchildren the necessities of life ,and he loved them bigger than life itself.
He shared with his children and grandchildren his love of building things. He would never turn down a project. He was obsessed. He loved it even more when it was with his kids or grandkids by his side.
Charles had another great love in his life. His wonderful Shihtzu Bentley. Bentley was also his companion on Charles and PJs many travels. His coffee buddy, his snuggle buddy, and his best friend.
All in all What you can take from this is : Charles was a wonderful Father,PawPaw, and friend. He was loved by all. He will be missed more than words could ever say.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Peggy Lynn Strickland Bailey; dad, Wesley (Linda) Bailey; children, Jessica Barton, Jeremy Ron Bailey, Christina Barton, Cameron (Amber) Bailey, Kayla Ralston, Katelynn Claunch, Jayven (Seth Wesley) Bailey, Kelsie (Cody) Adams, Andrea (Tanner) Touhy; brothers and sisters, Steve (Karen) Bailey, Teresa (Roger) Najera, Keith (Kerry) Bailey, Terry Bailey, Holly Bailey. Grandchildren include, Dandre, Tiarra, Natalia, Emily, John Benjamin, Jasper, Wesley Gage, Alexandria Xavier, James, Landon, Gabriel, Ela, Oliver, and a grandson on the way who he was most excited to meet Weston Dale , carried by his babygirl. His youngest and most cherished daughter Andrea. Many Nieces and nephews along with special friends, Michael Jordon (LaDonna), Megan Fields, and Jessica Edwards.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons.
