Charles Lewis Odom

Obituary

Mr. Charles Lewis Odom, 77, of Rome, Georgia, departed his life here on earth and entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 27th, 2022 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Mr. Odom was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on January 20, 1945, the son of the late David Bammer Odom and Josephine Shepherd Odom. Before retirement, he was employed by Mohawk Industries, was a Christian, and attended New Antioch Baptist Church with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Holland Odom: two sons, Todd Odom and Dustin Odom and his wife, Jennifer; two step-daughters, Angie Nesbitt and her husband Chris, and Rhonda Brookshire; grandchildren, Luke Odom, C.J. Nesbitt, Trevor Nesbitt, and Jewelia Nesbitt; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service will be held in his memory Friday, December 30th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Reynolds and Rev. Preston Aker officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery, and family members will serve as pallbearers.
The family of Charles L. Odom will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 30th, between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
