Charles Richard "Chuck" Langston

Charles Richard “Chuck” Langston, 60, of Douglasville, Georgia (formerly of Calhoun) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Chuck was born in Floyd County, Georgia on November 27, 1962, the son of Faye Parker Langston and the late Richard Langston. He was manager of the NAPA Auto Shop at City of Refuge in Atlanta, Georgia. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of City of Refuge Calhoun.

He loved to work with his hands and read books about the knowledge of God.  He collected knives, and loved taking his grandchildren camping and tube riding out on his boat!  A simple, humble, Godly, country man who will surely be missed by many!

Survivors include his daughters, Tiffany Whitehead of Douglasville, Heather Reese, and her husband Tay of Douglasville; grandchildren, A.J. Usher, Kanarah Usher, Pyper Whitehead and Poppi McClarty; mother, Faye Parker Langston of Calhoun; brothers, Rev. Tim Langston and his wife Sharon and Jeff Langston and his wife Amanda; sister, Sandy Johnson and her husband Allen all of Calhoun; along with other relatives.

A service to celebrate the life of Charles Richard “Chuck” Langston will be held Friday, August 11^th at 11:00 AM from City of Refuge Calhoun with Rev. Tim Langston, Rev. Bruce Deel and Rev. Jeff Deel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant U.M.C. Cemetery near Red Bud. Pallbearers serving will include Ashley Johnson, Larry Powell, Nick Greenley, Sully Deel, Josh Cochran, T.J. Langston, and Nick Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will include Bruce Mitchell, Barry Gilbert, Steve Grimes, Philip McDaniel, Nate Green, Jacob Spellman, Jeff Rampy and Zay Clemmons.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at City of Refuge Calhoun, 100 Peters Street Calhoun, Georgia 30701.
