Charles Lee Hyder

Charles Michael Hyder passed away on Sunday, June14, 2026 after a brief illness. He was a political science major and graduate of the University of Kentucky. He was very interested in politics and community affairs. He was a frequent contributor to newspaper editorial departments in Dalton, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Charles M. Hyder and his mother Ruth Hyder Yoder.

The body was cremated, and his ashes returned to Concord, NC where he will be buried beside his mother and father.
