Obituary

Charles Hyde, 74, of Cartersville, Georgia died Thursday, November 3, 2022, after several weeks of declining health. He was born on May 26, 1948, in Pine Log, Georgia to the late Feist W. and Pearlie Mae Trammell Hyde. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Velma Jean Battles Hyde; daughter, Debra Lynn Hyde;brothers, Bill, Gene, Jimmy, Joel, Billy Joe, and Bobby; sister, Dorothy.
Charles enjoyed watching NASCAR, car shows, and antique cars.
He is survived by his son, Randy Hyde; grandson; Zach Hyde; brother and sister-in-law, Jack (Beverly) Hyde; sisters, Helen Roberts, and Gearldine Easterwood; sisters-in-law, Carol Hyde, Ruth Hyde, and Geneva Hyde; special nephew, Dewayne Hardin; fur baby, Elvis.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated and his ashes will be buried at Pleasant Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
