Charles Edward Henderson

Charles Edward Henderson, 89, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. He was born in Montecello, Illinois, on August 25, 1937, to the late Fate and Verse Collins Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol “Mrs. Kay” Henderson; sons, Randall Henderson and Michael Henderson; one brother and seven sisters.

Charles was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. He spent many years in the Spanish ministry, with 36 years spent in Mexico.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Brice) Barth; grandchildren, Joshua Barth, Alaisha Barth, Victoria Barth, Jennifer Anderson, Jared Anderson, Mark Ruble, and Dena Higgins; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Owen, Atticus, Kaylynn, Kinley, Kaden, Rhylee, Ryker, and Zoey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Concord Missionary Baptist Church.

The funeral service will follow on Thursday at 12:00 Noon with Bro. Randy Sutherland and Bro. Roberto Diaz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Jamie Trammell, Roberto Diaz, Mike Janow, Mike Bunch, Joshua Barth, and Samuel Allen.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home to assist in final expenses.
