Obituary
Charles Douglas "Doug" Gallman, 75, of Calhoun, Ga, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He was born in Murray County on February 23, 1947 to the late Gordon and Tilda Leatherwood Gallman. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife in 2010, Joanne Marie Gallman; daughters, Bonnie Jones and Patti Thompson; brother, Jerry Gallman; sisters, Pam Slaughter and Virginia Ballew.
Doug was of the Christian Faith. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Doug is survived by his sons, Michael Gallman (Tammy) and Bill Jones; daughters, Sharon Jones and Jo Ellen Jones; brothers, Glen Gallman, Bob Gallman, Tommy Gallman (Marie), Larry Gallman (Reba); sisters, Ruby Gallman and Shirley Douglas; grandchildren, Kayla Bohannon (Brad), Jordan Parker (Laci), Robert Jones, Christina Morris, Steven Peek; special grandson, Cooper Gallman; and his fur babies, Kona and Buster. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Gallman, Russell Gallman, Joey Black, Derrick Wooten, Robert Jones, and Michael Gallman. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Adairsville Police Department.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Charles Douglas "Doug" Gallman.
