Obituary

Mr. Charles "Chuck" McNeil, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away at his residence following several months of declining health.
Mr. McNeil was born in Camden, New Jersey on October 21, 1943, the son of the late Marvin McNeil and Mildred Brown McNeil. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry McNeil.
Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam and prior to retirement, he was employed by Penske Truck Leasing as a mechanic, a long career which he enjoyed. He was a man who enjoyed the outdoors, old cars, dogs, and birds. He loved being with his family and adored his grandchildren. He was of the Christian faith and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Linda Martin McNeil; son, Andrew (Heather) McNeil; daughters, Christy (Scott) Turner, and Melissa Branham; three brothers, Roger (Barbara) McNeil, Ronald (Ruth) McNeil, Donald (Emily) McNeil; grandchildren, Austin McNeil, Breanna McNeil, Brooke McNeil, Kaytlin McNeil, Garrett McNeil, Colton Turner, Ashlyn Turner, Kayla Simpson; great-grandchildren, Shaylee Parker and Luna Parker; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles (Chuck) McNeil will be conducted Thursday, August 4th at 5:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Joe ONeal officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery near Canton at a date to be announced later. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 3rd at the funeral home between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on Thursday, from 2:00 until the funeral service.
