Obituary

Carolyn Garrett Greeson, 79, of Calhoun, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her daughter Kims home, following several months of declining health. She was born in Kingston, GA on May 11, 1939, daughter of the late Samuel and Ola Richards Garrett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles E. Greeson, in 2010; her daughter, Lynne Holland; and her siblings and their spouses, William (Betty) Garrett, James (Joyce) Garrett, Joe (Betty) Garrett, Mae Shinall, Agnes (E.B.) Hite, Lillie Belle (Donald) Dixon, Willie (Floyd) Sims, Betty (Carl) Long, and Ruth Holmes.
Carolyn was a homemaker, and had worked at Ashworth and Tolbert schools in the lunchroom, and at Herbcraft. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Tim Mulkey, Kelly and Chuck Casey, and Robert Holland; her grandchildren, Chris Mulkey (fianc Christina Ervin), Stephanie Holland (Jimmy Whitten), and Kolton Casey; great-grandchildren, Eli Whitten, Charley Whitten, and Blair Ervin; and nieces and nephews.
Services to honor the life of Caroly Garrett Greeson will be held Monday, March 4th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Chris Mulkey, Kolton Casey, Jimmy Whitten, Jack Hall, Keith Garrett, and Russell Bottoms. Stacy James will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 3rd from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
The family would like to thank Heart Lite Hospice for the special care Carolyn received.
