Carolyn "Diane" Blankenship

Carolyn “Diane” Blankenship, 69, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1956, to the late Myrl Stephens and Carolyn Webb Reed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Blankenship; siblings, Roy Lee Stephens and Margaret Laynette Douthitt; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ben Blankenship, Ruth Blankenship, Pearl Blankenship Scott, Helen Stabanaw, and Mildred Blankenship Hand.

Diane is survived by her son, Derek Gerald Blankenship (Shannon Gibson); daughter, Lesa Blankenship (Wade) Reece; son, Lynn Lee Blankenship (Debbie) Blankenship, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene Blankenship, Sarah Blankenship, Daniel Douthitt, Penny Lee Taylor Stephens, and grandchildren, Amber Bell, Garrett Bell, Wade Bell, Kyla Marie Blankenship, and Caleb Lee Blankenship. Other survivors are Heather Douthitt and Shannon White.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Delmer Ledford officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Caleb Blankenship, Jamie Scott, Wade Bell, Derek Blankenship, Michael Scott, and Mitchell Scott.
