Obituary

Carol Ann Poarch Hawkins, 71, of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, following several years of declining health.
Carol was born in Gordon County, on January 12, 1951, the daughter of the late Carlton and Virginia Sparks Poarch. She was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Red Bud High School. Prior to retirement, she worked in the carpet industry.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindi Fortmann and Laura Melkerson; four grandchildren, Bailey Broome, Jaden Fortmann, Trey Lanning, and Michaela Lanning along with other relatives.
At her request, a private graveside service was held Friday, August 12, 2022, at Crane Eater Cemetery, 2999 Red Bud Road, Calhoun, Georgia.
