Carmen Cherie' (Lay) Irons. Born March 21, 1970, passed from this earthly life on March 3, 2022.
She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; Gordon and Della Lay James and Jeanette Carney ;Uncle Bobby Carney
The following will forever love and cherish the time we had with her. Devoted and loving husband of 29 years William Marty Irons; Daughter Erica Cherie' Irons the Love and Light of Carmen's life; Father Johnny Lay and wife Irene Mother Joyce Long and husband Troy Uncle/Aunts: Ron & Marie Barton, Elsie Carney Carmen had many cousins and friends that she loved.
Carmen grew up in Calhoun, GA. She graduated from Calhoun High School and continued her education at the University of GA graduating magna cum laude.
Carmen was in the CHS Band, Basketball cheerleader, swim team member and her most loved was her years as a CHS Majorette.
It is with great remorse that we had to say goodbye for now, but we will rejoice with her in Heaven.
Memorial Service: Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Calhoun, Ga.
March 17 at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends from 12 until 2:00.
