Obituary

Buford Blaylock, 75, of Calhoun, Georgia died Thursday, January 6, 2022, after an extended illness. He was born on January 31, 1946, in Oakman, Georgia to the late Cicero and Addie Corn Blaylock. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom (Nola) Blaylock, James Blaylock, and Junior Blaylock; sister, Margie (Hubert) Pack.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Silvers Blaylock; son, Bryon Buford Blaylock (Amy Laviana); daughter and son-in-law, Pam Blaylock Long (Brian); brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy (Katherine) Blaylock, Mike (Donna) Blaylock, and Carter (Martha) Blaylock; sisters and brother-in-law, Rita Fay Bowers (Joe) and Deborha Blaylock; grandchildren, Brandon Blaylock, Brody Blaylock, Ann Long Burchett, and Dillon Long; great grandchildren, Laney Burchett, Eli Burchett, and Grayson Long; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside service will be held Monday, January 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm from Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Ashley Silvers officiating. Pallbearers are Scott Blaylock, Benny Blaylock, Jeremy Springfield, Dustin Tomlinson, Jonathan Silvers, and Chris Silvers. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Long and Roger Davis.
