Obituary

Bobby Hyde, 80, of Summerville, Georgia died Monday, August 9, 2021, after several years of declining health. He was born on July 17, 1941, in Fairmount, Georgia to the late Fiest and Pearlie Mae Trammell Hyde. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Cox, siblings, Dorothy, Bill, Gene, Jimmy, and Joel.
Bobby was a truck driver for many years before retiring. He proudly served our county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ruth Hyde; children, Kathy Hodge of Cottondale, Fl, Debra Luffman (Terry Whaley) of Summerville, GA, and Michael Cox of Cottondale, FL; siblings, Jack, Helen, Gearldine, Charles, and Billy Joe; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
To honor his wishes his body was cremated.
