Mr. Wilson (Bob) Coker, Sr; age 73 of Calhoun, Georgia; died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Gordon Hospital.

Mr. Coker was born on June 17, 1933 in Lawrence County, Tennessee; son of the late Haggard and Lucille Busby Coker. During his lifetime; he was employed as an Entrepreneur for electronics and the trucking industry He was a member of the Harmon Masonic Lodge at Zelienople, PA and had attained a 32nd degree in Shrine. Mr. Coker was also a member of the New Town Baptist Church. Mr. Coker was preceded in death by a sister Denease Hughes and two infant sisters; Shelby Coker and Inez Coker and by one brother Samuel (Marcus) Coker.

Mr. Coker is survived by his wife, Joann Strickland Coker of the home. Daughters and sons-in-laws; Carol and Michael McGee of Pinellas Park, Florida; Pam and John Podelski of Palm Harbor, Florida; Gail and Tony Jones of Marietta, Georgia. Sons; Wilson Coker, Jr, Steve Coker both of Calhoun, Georgia; Bryan Coker and his wife, DeeDee Coker of Calhoun, Georgia; Daughters; Kim Coker of Calhoun and Tina Smith. Fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren. One sister; Eloise Richardson of Leoma, Tennessee. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson (Bob) Coker will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the New Town Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch McDougle and Rev. David Ray officiating. Singing will be arranged by Mr. Brent Davis. Pallbearers serving will be grandsons and they are: Bobby Coker, Brandon Coker, Michael Bates, Turner Bates, Timothy Smith and Tyler Hamilton. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites and following the graveside rites; a white dove release will be conducted. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening beginning at 4:30 p.m.
