Obituary

Blake Matthew 'Booboo' Bennett of Adairsville passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept 2, 2021, at
his home. He was born Aug 16, 1997, in Dalton, GA to Dwayne and Laura Bennett. He was preceded in
death by his Granddaddy, Jerry Bennett, and his uncle Porky Bennett.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers and sisters; Adam Bennett, Colton Bennett, Ira
and Brandi Purkey and Rosa Bennett, nieces, and nephews: Avery Purkey, Luke Purkey, Ally Purkey and
Olivia Bennett; Grandparents Nana Linda Bennett, Pawpaw and Mawmaw Doug and Sylvia Nicholson.
Uncles and aunts Matt and Christy Nicholson, Brian and Cammy Bennett, and Brent and Consequela
Bennett. Plus, a host of great aunts and uncles and special cousins who were his best friends.
He was a graduate of Gordon Central High School and attended the George Chambers Center. He was a
member of Plainview Baptist Church.
In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Blake enjoyed competing in the Special
Olympics where he received many ribbons for the softball toss, 50-meter dash and bowling. He loved
listening to music and singing karaoke, making people laugh and reminiscing about the past.
Blake was full of love and let it be known how much you meant to him. He touched the heart of and
made an impact on everyone he encountered. In Blake's 24 years, he inspired more people than most
ever do in an entire lifespan. Although his passing has left a hole in his family's hearts that can never be
filled, comfort is found in knowing he is now perfect and whole.
His family will receive friends at Plainview Baptist Church on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. His body will lie in state Friday, September 17, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 2:00 pm.
His celebration of life will be held at Plainview Baptist Church on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 2:00 pm with
Brothers Sawyer Springfield, Mark Harris, and George Gray officiating. Music will be arranged by Wyatt
Springfield and Mitch Colquitt.
Active pallbearers serving are Jake Hartford, Tanner Dutton, Sawyer Springfield, Wyatt Springfield,
Jasper Neal, Bean Springfield, Greg Hendrix, and Shane Smith. Honorary pallbearers are the staff and
students at George Chambers Resource Center.
The family suggest donations be made to George Chambers Center 1000 Highway 53 Spur SW, Calhoun, GA 30701.
