Obituary

Mrs. Betty Sue Charles Burns, 80, of Calhoun passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Gordon Health Care.
Mrs. Burns was born on January 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Harley and Ollie Magnolia Craig Charles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Clayton in August of 2021; two sisters, Murrell Bowen and Marry Lou Arnold; two brothers, Elford "Charlie" Charles and Marvin Charles. She was a member of The House of Prayer.
Mrs. Burns is survived by a son, Patrick Burns and his wife Lea Ann of Resaca, GA; two sisters, Shirley Swafford and Lanelle Silvers; brothers, Herbert Charles and Jerry Charles; grandchildren, Tony Burns, Kenny Timms, Valerie Hite, and Angela Timms; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service to remember the life of Betty Sue Charles Burns will be conducted on Monday, November 15th at 7:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Isaac Johns officiating.
