Betty Lou Davis

Ms. Betty Lou Davis, age 74 of Chattanooga, formerly of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009.

Ms. Davis was born in Gordon County on April 29, 1935, daughter of the late William Clyde and Ruby Parker Davis. She was a member of the College Street Church of God. She was also preceded in death by two infant sisters.

Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Thelma Davis, L.C. and Odessa Davis, Johnny and Hilda Davis, Lamar and Helen Davis, Jerry and Linda Davis, and Ray and Carol Davis, all of Calhoun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma Jean Stone, Joyce and Ricky Kirby, Faye and J.D. Addy, and Nina and Hugh Jackson, all of Calhoun. A special friend, Frances Barnes of Calhoun; aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Ms. Betty Lou Davis will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Lamar Hand and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwood Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Lamar Thomas, Eddie Patton, Corey Patton, Gerald Jones, Calvin Silvers, Brent Parker, Brian Parker and Bruce Parker. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30pm. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
