Bessie Pack

Mrs. Bessie Pack age 82 of Ranger, Georgia died Sunday October 29th in Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.

Mrs. Pack was born in Gordon County on July 31st, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Pearl Kirby and was preceded in death by one brother, Fain Kirby and by two sisters; Maggie Cronan and Ruth Boswell. Mrs. Pack loved tending to her flowers, especially her Angel Trumpets. She loved to quilt, cook and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Pack is survived by her husband, Mr. Cecil Pack to whom she was married for 65 years. Five daughters; Maggie Sue Harris and her husband Billy of Adairsville; Janell Bunch and her husband Larry of Fairmount; Angie Henson and her husband Kenneth of Ranger; Patricia Evans and her husband Barry of Ranger and Donna Greeson and her husband Terry of Ranger. One son, Marvin Pack of Ranger. Three brothers; Henry Kirby and his wife Monnie of Ranger; William (Woot) Kirby and his wife Betty of Red Bud and Harbin Kirby and his wife Maxie of Resaca. 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Kay Pack will be held Wednesday November 1st at 3:00 PM from the Liberty Baptist Church in Ranger with Rev. Willburn Childers and Rev. Tim East officiating. Music will be arranged by Mike Bunch, Randa and Josh Jordan and Wesley Morrison. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers serving will include; Ricky Oakes, Nathaniel Greeson, Michael Kirby, Jeff Cronan, Randy Cronan, Adam Evans, Terry Black and Larry Black. Honorary pallbearers include; William Daniel, Doug Gilbert, Terry Collis, Mark Rice, Lee Morrison and Daneward Southerland.

The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM Monday at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
