Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Jean Balliew, 72, of the Red Bud Community, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 6, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Barbara was born in Blue Ridge, Georgia, on November 12, 1950, the daughter of Luteen Sutton Parker and the late Chesley Parker. She lived the greater part of her life in Gordon County, Georgia. Before retirement, she was employed with Mohawk Industries, was a member of the 1968 graduating class of Red Bud High School, and was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Terry Balliew; sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Heather Balliew and Jamie and Kelly Balliew; her adored grandchildren, Ryley Balliew and her fianc, Jonathan Jones, Brody Balliew and Baylee Balliew; her mother, Luteen Sutton Parker; brother, James Parker; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service to celebrate the life of Barbara Parker Balliew will be held Sunday, January 15th, at 4:00 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3882 Red Bud Road NE, Calhoun, Georgia. Rev. Keith Gibson and Rev. Michael Hunt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Honorary pallbearers include members of the Red Bud High School Class of "68" and Trisha Wheat.
