Obituary

Barbara Brown Middlebrooks, 77, of Calhoun died on Sunday, October 17, 2021, following several months of declining health. Barbara was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on January 12, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie Craig and Virginia Quarles Self. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Joey Grogan, Ethan Grogan, and Tracy Luck; her sister, Shirley Shirley; her grandsons, Anthony Bramlett and Joshua Lefler; her son-in-law, Jeffrey Eaton. Barbara loved to crochet, embroider, and treasured the time she spent doing jigsaw puzzles with her family.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Jimmy Middlebrooks; her children, Meletha (Woodrow) Moss and Virginia Eaton; her grandchildren, Natasha (Ronnie) Reece, Timothy (Reba) Moss, Julie (Ernest) Thomas, Jodie Friddell, Jamie (Kali) Grogan, Elizabeth (Steve) Wright, Zachary Grogan, Nick (Starsha) Grogan, Tabaitha (JD) Wyatt, and Tyler Luck; her siblings, Richard Craig (Sue), Larry Craig (Donna), Melinda Champion (Tommy), Paula Baliles (Charles); and several great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Vince Gulledge officiating. Burial will follow in Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery.
