Avanelle Fuquea

Ms. Avanelle Fuquea age 85 of Red Bud Rd. Ranger, Georgia passed away Sunday September 17, 2006 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Gordon County on August 23, 1921 daughter of the late Robert M. and Sallie Powell Fuquea. Ms. Fuquea was retired from Red Bud High School as a school teacher. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where she served as the church clerk for more than twenty years.

Survivors include two brothers R.L. Fuquea of Ranger, Georgia and Ralph Fuquea of Kennesaw, Georgia and other family members also survive.

Funeral Services for Ms. Avanelle Fuquea will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. from the Bethesda Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Hunt and Rev. Fred McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Jerry Clements, Joey Moore, Troy Casey, Bill Burchett, Larry Heath and Mike Fowler. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Bethesda Baptist Church for missions.
