Anthony Jerome Wilkey

Anthony Jerome Wilkey, 65, of Plainville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1961, to the late Jack and Mammie Jo Wilkey Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Dianne Wilkey; and his brothers; Bobby McEntire, Tommy Wilkey, and Billy Wilkey; and his stepfather, Ralph Bowman.

He was in construction prior to retirement, and attended Plainville School, Swain School, and Gordon Central High School, and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.

Anthony is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Adrean Wilkey; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Scott Williams; sisters-in-law, Ann McEntire, and Debbie Wilkey; grandchildren, Jalynn Wilkey, Kyleigh Wilkey, Layla Wilkey, Bradley Williams, Brilie Williams, Briston Williams, and Bria Williams, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Parrott and Ronnie Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gene McEntire, Josh Martin, Cody Parks, Kimble Hall, Taylor Payne, Zane Reynolds, and Bo Bohannon. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Payne and Alex Reynolds.
