Obituary

Mrs. Annie Mae "Ann" Pettett, 84 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Gordon Health Care after several years of declining health.
Mrs. Pettett was born in Cobb County, GA on August 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Henry and Arlene Trulove. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Trulove, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gentle Lee and Max Brannon, and a nephew, Brent Brannon.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Wholeproof Hosiery for many years and was the manager of Haven of Rest Memorial Park. She was a member of New Town Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, J.D. Pettett to whom she was married for 67 Years; son, Michael Pettett of Augusta; sister-in-law, Jimmie Trulove of Marietta; Nieces and nephews, Robin and Danny Padgett of Marietta, Andy Trulove of Adairsville; Eddie and Lynn Brannon of Calhoun; Brian and Jill Brannon of Calhoun. She and J.D.s extended family includes Judy Reeves, Joy Reeves, Sam Brown, and Jim Woods, and all the staff of Gordon Health Care; Jerri McDougle, and the staff of Homespun Hospice. Great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A service will be held to celebrate her life on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Hensley and Eddie Brannon officiating. Her pastor emeritus is Rev. Walter Hare. Karli Rogers will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers serving include Emory McEntyre, Michael McEntyre, Dwight Gentry, Garry Tate, Eddie Brannon, and Matt Brannon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, between the hours of 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
