Amy Melissa Bennett Perry, age 49 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, following several months of declining health. Amy was a native of Gordon County, born on February 13, 1976, to the late JR Bennett and the late Janie Mae Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dino Hall and her beloved grandmother who helped raise her for many years, Bertha Louise Goss Bennett, lovingly known as “Mama Bennett”.
Prior to ill health, Amy was employed in retail sales management at the Dollar Tree.
Amy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Stephen Todd Perry; one son, Garrett Bryant and one daughter, Morgan Bryant; two grandchildren who were the light of her life, JR and Israel “Izzy” Jorgensen; siblings, Nichole Jackson and husband Brent and Crystal Patterson and husband Steven; mother-in-law, Glenda Perry and brother-in-law, Chris Perry. Amy is also survived by many aunts and uncles and a host of cousins including a special cousin, Kevin Silvers.
To honor Amy’s wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service to honor her life will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Calhoun First Apostolic Ministries located at 712 Newtown Road, NE, Calhoun, GA. The sanctuary will open at 2 p.m. for family visitation.
