Alex Luckhurst Jr

Mr. Alex Luckhurst, Jr., age 78 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Erlanger Medical Center following several months of illness.

He was born on December 23, 1931 in Leesburg, Georgia, son of the late Alex Luckhurst, Sr. and Beulah Kiser Luckhurst. During his lifetime he served his country with the United States Air Force, and retired from Shaw Industries. He was a member of Barrett Road Church of God.

Mr. Luckhurst is survived by his wife, Geneva Marie Bohannon Luckhurst, to whom he was married for 32 years; two stepsons, Douglas Williams and Stanley Williams; four grandchildren, Raymond Williams, Shane Williams, Tina Williams, and Ellen Williams; and four great- grandchildren, Mackenzie Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Kyler Williams and Kaylie Williams.

Funeral services for Mr. Alex Luckhurst, Jr. will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Norris Sexton officiating. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.
