Aaron Arthur Timms

Aaron Arthur Timms, 81, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. He was born in Calhoun, Georgia July 7, 1944, to the late Rev. J. Arthur and Beulah Shepherd Timms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Lucille Hall, J.W. (Thelma) Timms, Herman (Carolyn) Timms, Herbert Timms, Betty (Charlie) Burton, and Mary (Moody) Jones: brothers-in law, Eddie Burnette, Kenneth Dutton, Noel Clark and Bob VanPembrock.

He is survived by his wife, Carlotta Ann (Clark) Timms; daughters, Lorrie (Timms) Roberts, Londie (Larry) Powell, Sylvia Ashley, Jessica (David) Lord and son, Jay Wells. He is survived by sisters, Hazel Burnette and Margie Dutton and brother David (Linda) Timms;10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Aaron loved the Lord first and foremost. He loved to sing. His children and grandchildren were a blessing to him, and he loved to spend time with them all. His hobbies included woodworking and fishing. Aaron, along with his wife, Carlotta, attended College Street Church of God for over 40 years working for the Lord.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Max Brannon Funeral Home.

Aaron will lie in state Monday, April 13, 2026, at College Street Church of God from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm at College Street Church of God. Pastor Dewayne Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery.
