Wayne Smith, 63, of Ranger, GA died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home. He was born in Murray County, GA on December 7, 1955, son of the late J.A. and Jo Mae McElrath Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Smith.
For many years, Wayne was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Patricia Stone Smith; his daughters, Crystal Smith and Cathy Smith; his grandchildren, Macaela Chastain, Devin Buttrum, Samantha Stuart, Alyssa Buttrum, Stetson Stuart, Shannon Stuart, Skyler Stuart, Abigail Mulkey, Addisyn Mulkey, and Lincoln Mulkey; his brothers, Larry Smith, David Smith, Danny Smith, and Jerry Smith; and his sisters, Judy Adcock and her husband Ricky, and Linda Smith.
Services to honor the life of Wayne Smith will be held Wednesday, July 10th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Stone officiating. Music will be arranged by Jacob White. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Jamie Cantrell, James Dye, Dewayne Dowdy, Justin Long, Brian Long, Devin Buttrum, and Jordan Stone.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Instead of flowers, donations will be accepted to help with funeral expenses.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
