Obituary

Mrs. Wanna Yvonne Nelson Tinsley, 83, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019. She was born in Shannon, GA on November 9, 1935, daughter of the late Martin and Wanna Blewer Nelson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Nelson.
Mrs. Tinsley was a member of Resaca First Baptist Church and a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class. During her working years, she was employeed by Sears Roebuck in Atlanta and as a cosmetologist. She also owned and operated several antique stores. She enjoyed helping her husband on their cattle farm.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Clay Tinsley; sons, Ronnie Tinsley and Dwayne Tinsley; a brother-in-law, Carol Tinsley; and many cousins and nieces.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Blackstock will officiate. Burial will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving are Ray Davis, Michael Holcome, Jerry Stafford, Herbert Blackstock, and Harvey Blackstock.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
