Venneda Lanier

Venneda Lanier, 90 of Calhoun, passed Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Calhoun Health Care. She was born on August 22, 1925 in Gordon County. She was a member of Oostanaula Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cora Bell and William Alvin Lanier; one sister, Nellie Mae Reece; brothers, Ralph Lanier, Raymond Lanier, Gene Lanier, Jack Lanier, and W.A. (Bunk) Lanier. She is survived by a brother, Felton Lanier of Rockmart, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 14th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Langston and Rev. Winford Casey officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall bearers serving are Denmon Lanier, Phillip Lanier, Ronnie Lanier, Barry Lanier, Jack Jackson, and Heath Derryberry.

The Lanier family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
