Tracey McGinnis Whaley, 42 of Adairsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Calhoun, GA on November 24, 1974. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Sherry Harrell, and grandfather, Troy McGinnis, of Calhoun.
She is survived by her Parents, David & Donna McGinnis of Adairsville; Husband of 17 years, Alan Whaley; son, Alex Whaley of Calhoun; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie (Josh) Glosson of Calhoun, Kim (Philip) Harp of Adairsville, and Jessica (Josh) Witting of Bethlehem; brothers, Heath Bearden of Aragon and Justin (Alexandria) Harris of Ray City; grandmother, Shirley McDougle of Adairsville; aunts and uncles, Sharon (Wayne) Parker, Cynthia (Greg) McGuire, Gary (Cindy) McGinnis and Marie (Michael) Hurst. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Special thanks to Rita Cook with ResCare for many years of friendship and care. Thank you to the wonderful staff Heyman Hospice. Over the last 15 years of declining health we were blessed with many people who cared for Tracey whom the family would like to thank.
Services to honor the life of Tracey McGinnis Whaley will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 4:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving will include Kevin Parker, Jason McGuire, William Bryant, Alan Young, Jeremy Bryant, and Charlie McGinnis.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
