Tommy Douglas Mulkey

Mr. Tommy Douglas Mulkey, age 70 of Fairmount, GA died Thursday, June 04, 2015 at Gordon Hospital following several years of declining health. He was born in Whitfield County on January 31, 1945, son of the late D.D. and Viola Burgess Mulkey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert Mulkey, J.C. Mulkey, Ralph Mulkey, and Herman Mulkey; and sisters, Jean Allen, Sadie Hall, and Thelma Mulkey.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years. Helen Louise Johnson Mulkey; his sons, Doug Mulkey and his wife Jessica of Odessa, TX, and Stanley Mulkey of Lake Charles, LA; and his daughters, Tina Norton of Fairmount, and Ann Hollis and her husband Marvin of Fairmount; a sister, Geraldine Johnson of Adairsville. Grandchildren surviving are Amanda Mulkey, Jeremy Mulkey, Luke Mulkey, Dallas Hollis, Kara Hollis, Anthony and Tiffany Parker, B.O. and Helen Shepard, Quinn Billot, Cade Billot, and Christian Billot; and great-grandchildren, Emilie Parker, Anthony Conway Parker, Jr., Hazel Parker, and Madison Shepard. Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Tommy Douglas Mulkey will be held Sunday, June 7th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Hall and Pastor Bryan Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Towe's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Kevin Mulkey, Lamar Hall, Jimmy Summerville, Burnan Lee Hall, Russell Smith, and Samuel Shepard. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Hall, Lynn Johnson, and Steve Mulkey.

The Mulkey family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, June 6th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
