Teena Barnette

Teena Barnette, 60, of Judsonia, Arkansas, gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, February 18, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born July 3, 1962, in Dalton, Georgia to Lamar and Linda Babb. She was preceded in death by her father, Lamar Babb; a brother, Byron Kent; grandparents, Arvil (Tut) and Travis Babb and B.W. and Pauline Wood and her uncle, Gary Wood.

She loved her Lord and her family, doing for them all she could do.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Babb; husband, Keith Barnette; son, Josh Barnette; grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Joshua and Remmi Barnette; in-laws, Billy and Nan Barnette, Todd Barnette and Pam Barnette Tippens; special friends, Melissa Hoover of Judsonia and Kristi Bailie of Perth Western Australia; uncles and aunts, Marshall and Glenda Babb, Rita and Skip Gray, Vickie and Don Hughes and Marsha Leonard; cousins, Susan Farris, Bill Dickie, Rodney Babb, Renee Farrell, Eric Hughes, Emily Lazarus, Chad Wood and Jamie Sullins; nephews, Andy (Holly) Barnette and Adam Barnette; Nieces, April (Tino) Butler and Abby Barnette.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Dug Gap Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia.

A memorial service will follow the visitation on Saturday at 3:00 pm from Dug Gap Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Dug Gap Cemetery in Dalton, Georgia.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oakdale and the Springs Nursing Homes as well as Unity Health Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
