Shelby Rasar

Mr. Shelby Rasar, age 65 of Chatsworth, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Pickens County, GA on February 3, 1950, son of the late Bill and Minnie McGowen Rasar.

Prior to ill health he was employed in the carpet industry.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Shirley Rasar, to whom he married November 21, 1969; his son and daughter-in-law, Shelby Michael and Christa Rasar; his daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Bryson, Mae and Steve Harmon, Angela and Carl Quinn, and Sheila McBryar; sisters, Annie Pippins, Margaret Williams, and Vickie Dean Rasar; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Shelby Rasar will be held Friday, June 12th at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 PM until the service hour.

Arrangements for Mr. Shelby Rasar are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
