Ruby Nell Cash Williams

Mrs. Ruby Nell Cash Williams, 91, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Williams was born in Hogansville, Georgia on August 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Marion Russell Cash and Mary Brazier Cash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters, Tommy Cash, Kathleen Cash, Estoria Cash, Claudie Cash, Maudie Cash Beles, William Cash, Stella Cash, Marlon Cash and Clifford Cash.

She was employed for many years in the textile industry and prior to retirement, she was employed by Costco. She made her home in Calhoun since 1972, moving here from Atlanta, GA. While living in Calhoun, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the church choir. In 2004 she moved to Woodstock, Georgia to be closer to her son. She loved singing and was an accomplished writer of more than 100 songs. After a period of declining health, she moved in with her son and daughter-in-law in Marietta, Georgia.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Germana Ragan of Marietta, GA; granddaughter, Donna “Machelle” Ragan Marrs, and her husband Paul; grandson, Gary H. Ragan Jr and his wife Maria Faye; great-grandchildren, Devin Ragan, Amber Caranto and Mackenzie Ragan.

The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice for their love and care rendered to their loved one.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetery.
