Pennie Marie Hobgood

Pennie Marie Hobgood, 54, of Adairsville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, following several years of declining health. She was born in Rome, Georgia on August 14, 1968, to James Richard and Glenda Faye Chastain.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kerry Hobgood; daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley (Ric) Collazo, Molli Beth (Nick) Price, Adam (Melissa) McNeese; sister and brother-in-law, Heather (Alan) McDougle; grandchildren, Hadlee McNeese, Wyatt Gravley, Silas McNeese, Lane Cooper Price, and one on the way, Baby Price; special niece and nephew, Zackary McDougle, Alli Grace McDougle; many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Pennie spent many years within the Gordon County school system, serving in many roles including substitute teacher and Director of After Care. She loved being around and helping children. She had an excellent sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church in Adairsville, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Cox officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

To honor her wishes, her body will be cremated following the service.
