Obituary

Mr. Paul Byron Cass, 76, of Ranger, Georgia died Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Advent-Gordon following a brief illness.
Mr. Cass was born in Columbus, GA on September 15, 1943, son of the late John and Bessie Pearl Dennis Cass. During his working career, Paul owned and operated Services Stations, was an STP Dealer and a proud sponsor of the late NASCAR great, Richard Petty, later moving to Calhoun, he was employed at Defoor Tire and Knights Chevron. Prior to retirement, he was a self-employed Contractor in the construction industry. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he adored his family and his favorite past time was spending time and building memories with them. He was the happiest when he was outside, working, doing something for his family, and helping others. He will be missed by his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Gibson Cass to whom he was married for 57 years, daughters; Susan (Marvin) Young of Sugar Valley, GA., Wanda Coffee of Dawnville, GA., and Andrea (Larry) Johnson of Ranger, GA., son, Paul Cass Jr of Austin, Texas. Grandchildren; Jessica, Melissa, and Billy Cass, Cory and Matthew Young, Alex and Eric Coffee, Zac and Tara Sims, Josh Johnson and Carrie Adcock. Fifteen great-grandchildren and other relatives survive,
Due to federal, state and local guidelines being followed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation or formal funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Parker and Rev. Terry Jones officiating.
