Mrs. Pamela Ann "Pam" Russell, 50, of Calhoun died Wednesday, June 5, 2019. She was born in Los Angeles, California on January 3, 1969, daughter of Wendy Irene Knapp and the late Robert E. Hammonds. Mrs. Russell was a graduating member of the Lafayette Highschool Class of 1989. She was a life member of the VFW, the American Legion, of the Loyal Order of the Moose, and 40/8.
Mrs. Russell was a veteran of the United States Army. She attained the Rank of SPC E4, served in Desert Storm, was awarded the Southwest Asia Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Qualification Badge, Hand Grenade Marksman Qualification Badge and M-16 Rifle Badge.
She is survived by her spouse, Judson "Juddie" Monroe Campbell; her children, Robert Tyler Russell, Emma Jewell Russell, Sarah Ann Russell and Derick McDaniel, Mollie Tana Russell, Stephanie Campbell Baker and Clint Baker, and Angie Campbell Pass; grandchildren, Liam Chase Wilmot, Miah Jean McDaniel, Grayson Jase Lingerfelt, Campbell Lynn Pass, and Britlyn Manning Neal; mother, Wendy Irene Knapp; brothers, Donald Lebron Hammonds and April Hammonds, and Tommy James Carter and Kathryn Adkins; and a sister, Tracy Lynn Meade.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 9th at 3:00 p.m. from Heritage Baptist Church, 345 Curtis Pkwy SE, Calhoun, GA 30701. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Pallbearers serving are Larry Fleming, Larry Raffield, Larry Denmon, Randy Greeson, Doug Smith, and Scotty Bryant. Honorary pallbearers are the Legion Riders.
The family suggests flowers be omitted and donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605 or a charity of your choice.
Friends may sign the online guest register at www.maxbrannonandsons.com. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
