Oris Lois Hendrix

Mrs. Oris Lois Hendrix, age 65 of Ranger, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015. She was born in Pickens County on March 2, 1950, daughter of the late Ell Stone and Cleo Scott Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Hendrix, to whom she was married to for 42 years.

Mrs. Hendrix was a housewife and mother. She loved her family and grandchildren, and was most happy doing for others. She was a member of Miracle Temple Church. God has gained an Angel.

She leaves behind three daughters, Lora Barron and her husband Arturo of Ludville, Corey Hamby of Ludville, and Colleen Craig of Ludville; two brothers, Larry Stone of Ludville and William Stone and his wife Pauline of Ludville; five sisters, Ollie Hightower of Ludville, Geneva Fountain and her husband Junior of Ludville, Faye Young and her husband Ed of Ludville, Ruthell Cornette of Ludville, and Myrtice Swafford of Ludville; eight grandchildren, Dalton Hamby, Cheyenne Hamby, Jazmin Jimenez, Maria Barron, Jose Barron, Carlos Barron, Azaree Craig, and Shanna Craig. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Oris Lois Hendrix will be held Thursday, May 21st at 4:00 PM from Miracle Temple Church, with Rev. Joe Tillman and Rev. Bobby Timms officiating. Music will be arranged by Adrian Craig and Rod Hendrix. Interment will follow at Miracle Temple Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Artrell Rogers, Tony Fountain, Jeremy Stone, Dalton Hamby, Jose Barron, and Luis Palasios.

The Hendrix family will receive friends at Miracle Temple Church on Wednesday after 12:00 PM.
