Norma Jean Stone

Mrs. Norma Jean Davis Stone, 76 of Ranger died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Stone was born in Gordon County on April 17, 1941; daughter of the late William Clyde Davis Sr. and Clara Christine Smith Davis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She retired in 1994, having been employed with Georgia Tufters and Astro Dye. She was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Stone in 2003; two sisters, Faye Addy and Betty Lou Davis; and four brothers, Johnny Davis, Lamar Davis, Jerry Davis, and Ray Davis.

Survivors include a son, Michael Elmer Stone; three daughters and sons-in law, Carol Moore and her husband Marc, Nancy Wilbanks and her husband David, and Linda Renner; two sisters, Nina Bailey and her husband Dale and Joyce Kirby and her husband Ricky; two brothers, Junior Davis and his wife Thelma and L.C. Davis and his wife Odessa; four sisters-in-law, Helen Davis, Hilda Davis, Carol Davis, and Frances Davis; a brother-in-law, J.D. Addy; an aunt, Norma Wable; grandchildren, Nathan and Jessica Renner, Steven and Kim Renner, Zachary William Wilbanks and Mary Katherine Brown, Nicolas Renner and Racheal Seidler; great-grandchildren, Breanna "Boo" Renner, Chloe Jean Renner, Ayden Elmer Renner, and Noah Renner; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to honor the life of Norma Jean Davis Stone will be held Thursday, January 4th, at 2:00 PM from the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, 506 East May Street, Calhoun, GA. Pastor Michael Stone, Elder Marc Moore and Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Nathan, Steven, and Nicolas Renner, Zachary William Wilbanks, Elbert Jackson and Jeffery Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Breanna "Boo" Renner, Chloe Jean Renner, Ayden Elmer Renner, Noah Renner, C.D. Renner, Tommie Stone and Chris Stone.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3rd, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. The body will be placed in state at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church on Thursday, January 4th from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM.
