Obituary

Mary Jo (Miss Jo) Reeves, 62, of Calhoun, Georgia died Thursday, April 16, 2020, from complications of a heart attack. She was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on June 2, 1957, daughter of the late Paul Reeves Sr and Mary Elizabeth Howell Reeves.
Miss Jo loved her job as custodian of Calhoun Primary School, primarily because of her love for all the kids and faculty, she felt as though they were part of her family. She was a member of the 1977 graduating class of Red Bud High School.
She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law, Paul David Reeves and Paul Reeves Jr and his wife Darlene; nephews, Heath Reeves, Jacob Reeves, Brodix Oree, and Holli Nix, great-nieces and nephews, Ansley and Ayden Reeves; other family and friends also survive.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no formal public visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The private family-only funeral service will be held Monday, April 20, 2020, at the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Bramlett officiating.
A live video will be hosted on Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Facebook page at 12:noon Monday, April 20, 2020. Interment will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery near Centre, Alabama, beside her parents.
