Obituary

Michael Terry Willix, 53, of Dalton, GA, died Thursday, May 9, 2019 following a brief illness. He was born in Gordon County on April 25, 1966, son of Judy Davenport and the late Ronald Willix. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Mac Willix; and his grandparents, Claude Franks, and Virgil and Dorothy Willix.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Davenport and her husband Rick; his daughter; his brothers and sister-in-law, Jody Davenport of Dalton, and David and Susan Peeler of Ranger; his maternal grandmother, Aveline Franks; and nieces and nephews, Cody (Hayley) Peeler, Jacob Peeler, Molly Peeler, and Athens Davenport.
Services to honor the life of Michael Terry Willix will be held Tuesday, May 14th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. David Peeler officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Jody Davenport, Cody Peeler, Jamie Franks, Russell Gallman, George Christian, and Josh Justice.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 13th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
