Leonard Hubert Freeman

February 19, 1938 — June 28, 2015

Mr. Leonard Hubert Freeman, age 77 of Adairsville, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1938, son of the late
Lincoln Freeman and Geneva Reeves Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Sewell, Frances Johns and Viola Pearson; and a brother, Oscar Freeman.

Leonard was a dairyman for many years, and after retiring he was the Icy man at the Sonoraville Recreation Department. He loved being a Pa-Paw to his grandchildren. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Kevin Cashon of Adairsville; his sister and brother-in-law, Lilly Mae Timms and her husband, Rev. Jimmy Timms; two brothers and three sister-in-laws, C.J. Freeman and his wife Mary, Herman Freeman and his wife Glenda, and Stella Freeman; grandchildren, Jake Avery Cashon and his wife Anne, Heather Hudgens and her husband Matthew, and Autumn Travis and her husband Joey; and great-grand children, Cassidy Hudgens, Aliyah Hudgens, Landon Travis, and Mayla, who will be born in August.

A service to remember the life of Leonard Freeman will be held Tuesday, June 30th at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Donnie Hudgens officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 29th between the hours of 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
