Obituary

Laura Edna Kenemer, of the Mill Creek Community, Rocky Face, Georgia, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was born in Sylvia, Dixon County, Tennessee, on February 17, 1923, daughter of Ervin Harrison Lyle and Pearl Beatrice Edwards Lyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Larry Kenemer, brothers, William Howard Lyle and Edward Harrison Lyle, and sister, Alta Lyle Wilson.
She leaves behind her daughters, Karen Kenemer and Janis (Derek) Harris; and sons, Keith (MaryAnn) Kenemer and Bruce (Otivia) Kenemer; five grandchildren, David Kenemer, Nicholas Silvers, Benjamin Kenemer, Amanda Braswell and Ashley Day; and nine great grandchildren, Grace Kenemer, Sophia and Jace Silvers, Rae and Morgan Kenemer, Adalyn, Beckett and Sully Braswell and Charley Day.
Services to honor her life will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 12:00 noon from Mill Creek Baptist Church, where she had been a faithful member and Sunday School teacher since the mid 70s. Rev. Keely Hasty will be officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Nicholas Silvers, Benjamin Kenemer, Drew Braswell, Nathan Newton, Chris Cruse, and Tony Burkett. Honorary pallbearers are former members of Mrs. Kenemers Sunday School class, and special honorary pallbearer, David Kenemer.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Mill Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
