Joyce White

Joyce White, 78, of Calhoun, Georgia, died Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1944, in Calhoun, Georgia, to the late Clinton McDonald and Geneva Charvat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter in law, Mary White; sisters, Carolyn Watson and Wanda Jones; brother-in-law, Jimmy Watson.

Joyce was a lifelong member of Newtown Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Rick) Meissner; son, Sean White; brothers, Kenneth Charvat and Harry (Linda) Charvat; sisters, Mellisa (Brad) Price and Paula (Mike) Johnson; grandchildren, Danielle and Dylan White, Xander Meissner; great- grandchildren, Owen and Liam Cervantes; nieces and nephews, Tina Martz, Rina Burns, Randy Gilbert, Steve Charvat, Terry Charvat, Carrie Jones, Wendy (Sean) Adcock, April Price, and Kevin Price.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 2:00 pm from Newtown Baptist Church with Rev. Stacy Hensley officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Newtown Baptist Church.
