Obituary

John Marcus Burton, 68, of Plainville, GA died Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Floyd Medical Center, following several years of declining health. He was born in Gadsden, AL on April 17, 1951, son of the late B.W. and Chasteen Beasley Silvers.
Before becoming disabled, John was a truck driver and auto mechanic.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony Burton, Adam and Denice Silvers, and Andy and Monica Burton; his daughters, April Silvers and Amy Burton; his grandchildren, Kayla Silvers, Sydney Silvers, Baylie Burns, Kayla Hudgins, and Braxton Burton; his great-granddaughter, Roslyn Blaylock; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Linda Silvers Sr.; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Stephen Ingram, Dianne and Wayne McBurnette, and Judy and Dennis Duncan.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 16th at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Adam Silvers and Rev. Rick Adcock officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Chris McGuire, Brittney McGuire, Cody McGuire, David Burns, Stephen Ingram, Andy Burton, and Jared Gray.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 PM until the service hour of 4:00 PM.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
