John Daniel Corn

Mr. John Daniel Corn, age 77, of Powder Springs passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Mr. Corn was born on March 18, 1945 in Carters, GA to the late Mr. Dan Lee Corn and the late Mrs. Bonnie Hensley Corn. Mr. Corn proudly served in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 30 plus years working as a Tool Planner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Fred Chorn and Jackie Corn.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joyce Ann Covington Corn of Powder Springs; two sons, Greg Corn (Amanda) of Powder Springs and J.P. Corn (Heather) of Hiram; three sisters, Louise Hopper of Ranger, GA, Emalee Mosher of Chattsworth, GA, and Linda Miers of Roswell, GA; two grandchildren, Nick and Natallie Corn; two chosen great-grandchildren; Jilly and Libby Cameron of Villa Rica; and his beloved dog, Blue.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00pm from Praise Tabernacle located at 4052 Hiram Lithia Springs Rd SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127 with Rev. Hershel Tibbitts and Rev. Butch Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the next day, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30pm. Nick Corn, Landon Estes, Shane Brady, Wade McGee, Lucas Cameron, and Brian Mosher will serve as pallbearers and Lee Chorn, Jerrell Brady, Tommy Bone, Dewane Mosher, Cotton Kelley, Jim Whelchel, H.E. Daniel, Tommy Padgett, Chris Estes, Steve Estes, and David Estes will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Praise Tabernacle on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Flowers will be accepted at Praise Tabernacle on Sunday beginning at 12:30pm, however, the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org/) or made to Truth in Nature (truthinnature.org) in memory of John Corn.
